54th Dinner
Saturday 26 February 2011
6.00pm
onwards:
As members age they find that they are increasingly challenged by the traditional route for the informal
entertainment.
THE ROUTE IS NOW REVERSED STARTING AT SANDY BELLS BAR
The downhill route will thus begin in Sandy
Bells Bar, before moving on to such esteemed venues as
the Half Way House, Jinglin’ Geordies, Rose Street Brewery, ending at Mather's Bar, or others of Members’ choice.
Morning:
The morning begins with an informal gathering usually with a Brewery visit.
Evening:
The
evening will
commence with the Annual Dinner of the HWUFBSA at the Royal Overseas
League Club, 100 Princess Street (0131 225 1501). Reception
7.00pm for 7.30 pm. This will be the second occasion the Dinner is held
at this venue and the first Dinner in 2010 was judged a success.
The hotel is normally asked to keep the bar open after the Dinner.
| Cost of Tickets: | Approximately £42.50
per head (to be confirmed), including an excellent meal and free supply of the
Chairman’s Beer during the evening. |
| Dress: | As in previous years, dress for the Dinner is formal. |
| Tickets: | An application form for tickets will be attached. Please note that all applications must be received normally no later than Friday 18th February 2011. |
| Guests: | Members are welcome to bring guests who are not members of a Brewing School but who have association with the industry. |
Yvonne Simpson and the Committee hope that you will make every effort
to show your support for the Association by attending this
year’s
